The Confederation of African Football – CAF is this Friday set to announce the new hosts of the 2025 AFCON after striping off hosting rights from Guinea last year.

It will be interesting to see who will win the rights to host of Africa’s biggest sports showpiece.

Algeria, Nigeria and South Africa have hosted the tournament in the past while Benin, Morocco and Zambia are yet.

Morocco has been the hub of hosting tournaments in the past 12 months.

From Women Champions to FIFA Club Championship.

Algeria are just from hosting the just ended CHAN tournament.

Nigeria last hosted a CAF tournament in the early 2000s while South Africa staged the 2010 World Cup and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

In 2017, Zambia staged an under age tournament but with only two stadia in the country, it is hard to see how the country will win the bid
