Georgia’s U21 national football team will face the Netherlands, Sweden, North Macedonia, Moldova and Gibraltar in the 2025 European Championship, after the draw on Thursday placed the squad in Group C of the tournament.

Held in at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, the draw also revealed the qualification round for the competition would see fixtures for the Georgian team starting in September of this year.

The overall qualifying round will run between March 2023 and October 2024, before Slovakia hosts the Championship.

Before the 2025 competition, the Georgian team will play in this year’s European Championship, which the country is co-hosting alongside Romania.

Placed in Group A along with Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium, the team will be supported by home fans as the competition runs between June 21-July 8.
