Six newcomers are part of the Czech national football team nominated by coach Jaroslav Šilhavý for the two European championship qualifiers scheduled to be played in late March.

Striker Patrik Schick and defender Vladimír Coufal have been nominated despite their injuries and it is not yet clear whether they will play. For this reason, Šilhavý nominated 25 players, which is two more than usual.

The Czech team will enter the qualification on March 24 with a home match against Poland, the toughest opponent in the five-team Group E, and will next face Moldova. The first two teams from each group will qualify for the championship, hosted by Germany next year.
