Dutch team AZ Alkmaar, English West Ham, French Nice and Belgian Anderlecht have all qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Football Conference League. In the second leg of the sixteenth round, AZ Alkmaar beat Italian hosts Lazio 2-1, West Ham beat Cyprus’ AEK Larnaca 4-0, Nice beat Moldovan Sheriff Tiraspol 3-1 and Anderlecht beat Villarreal 1-0 to secure their places. In the Alkmaar-Lazio match, Felipe Anderson scored for Lazio in the 22nd minute, but Jasper Carlson equalised for Alkmaar in the 28th minute, and Vangelis Pavildis scored the second goal for Alkmaar in the 62nd minute, securing their place in the next round. West Ham’s Gianluca Sakamaka, Jarrod Bowen and Muamba all scored in their match, while Nice’s Gaetan Laborde and Term Movi secured their victory. Anderlecht’s Islam Soleimani scored the Belgian side’s only goal, which led to their victory and a 2/1 superiority in the two-game aggregate.
