Martin Lavelle
Submitted photo/SVSUSaginaw Valley State University Economics Department will host guest speaker Martin Lavelle, business economist in the research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Detroit branch. The free event will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, in Curtiss Hall Seminar Rooms F and G.
Lavelle received his bachelor’s degree in business and master’s degree in economics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Lavelle’s job responsibilities include economic research, education and outreach, as well as teaching managerial economics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. His research revolves around the Michigan economy and its impact on the district and national economies.
