It’s been five days since the World Cup concluded in Qatar, and most teams have now safely returned home. But the status of IRAN’s national football team remains unclear.
Many will remember those images of Iran refusing to sing their country’s national anthem ahead of their opener against England. It was as an act of solidarity with protests back home in Iran over the death of Mahsa Amini, who died in police custody. But what happened to the players when they returned home?

The world laughed at Iran's Morality Police comparing their self-righteous pompous ways to America's Karens.
Justice for palestine, iraq, libiya, afghanistan and africa, we want justice
Who cares….even I don't know what happening in my neighborhood 😂..becoz it's not my business
i mean religion is something we can choose , not forced .
we can take any religion we want .
did the regime forgot that ????
They are the greater heroes than Messi and Mbappe 😂
Wow
Ayatollah of Iran talks of Yemeni and Palestinians and Kashmiris but loves killing his own people.
Speak of hypocrisy!
❤️✌️
Ehsan Hajsafi spoke out in a press conference before a match and the team didn't sing the national anthem, Its not much of course but nevertheless it won't be tolerated by the Iranian regime and these actions put them in danger, and this athlete knows that very well. So why he dismisses it is beyond me, unfortunately even when people are collectively struggling for a cause, who stands out as the leading advocate can be a competition. I get that this guy resents those in the national football team for even accepting to represent the country and effectively the regime, but the title of this video is "what happened to the Iranian soccer players when they went back?" and he dismissed the likelihood that they were punished in any shape or form.
So he basically let his resentment get in the way of advocating just how bad the Iranian regime is.
Izareli desperation
Since when did DW start calling football soccer?
there is this strong sentiment that no matter what, the regime has to go. People's feeling is that living under the regime is no longer viable. Even the gray faction of the society that doesn't do much, cheers others who do. Walking and driving around, slogans are everywhere on walls.some regime forces have been killed and fighting is going on. Although the sad truth is that for every irgc member we get rid of, 5 or 6 normal citizen get shot in the head.
I have some lovely Iranian friends. I’ll never forget his mothers tears when she couldn’t get a visa to visit them. The regime there is inhumane.
Religion has a terrible legacy.
Theocracy… the absolute WORST form of government.
We respect these players ❤❤❤
Real humanity players of iran
😂😂😂😂
Long live Iran without the barbaric Islam.
"regime is afraid of the unity of Iranian people"
As Kasra said: "Only Solution, Revolution"
Nothing happened to them good
Sometimes we dont need to sing if the organizer plays the song for us! Just seeing from different angles
Evil is evil.. iran

Seems like western PROPAGENDA to me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Support Iranians against this pathetic regime!
