Zambia Under-17 drawn in Group of Death

The Zambia Under-17 National Team has been drawn in Group B at the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations Algeria 2023. 

The junior Chipolopolo will be based in Constantine and will compete with Nigeria, Morocco and South Africa. 

This follows the draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF)  in Algiers this afternoon.

Zambia booked their spot at the tournament after making the final of the regional qualification tournament held in Lilongwe as part of the Region 5 Games in December. Zambia ran out narrow 1-0 winners.

The tournament will run from 29 April to 19 May 2023.

The top four sides in the competition will qualify for the 2023 Under-17 World Cup which will be staged in Peru from Nov. 10-Dec. 2.
